ひとは、ある時、解釈（イメージ）というものを与える存在になった。
その時からひとは、「不思議」という解釈を、その「ことば＝表現」を、 
一生のうちに幾たびも聞き、語ることになった。

この写真の眼は、「豹」を観ているのだが、
それは「豹」という「人の影」を観ているのか、
あるいは自分というカメラの眼が「豹の影」であるのか、
どちらかである。
いずれにせよ、写真の眼が、「豹」の姿に、そういう解釈を与えているのである。

それは私達が、彼方を見詰めるように「不思議」を想いやったことがあり、
「豹」がその「不思議」を観上げていると、この写真の眼が解釈しているのだ。

一体、いつの頃から「豹」は「人の影」になり、
「人」は「豹の影」になったのだろう・・・。

すくなくとも、このように言い得るのではなかろうか。
私達が彼らの世界からやってきたのだということ、
いまなお、この動物を私達の体内に抱え込んでいるのだということ、
そしてさらに、私達はどこかで「詩」に出会ったのだろうということ、である。

写真は、その太古から体験し続けてきた時間を、とめどなく舞い降りてくる雪のように、
私達自身につたえようとしている。

そして、日々、私達は「不思議」ということばを、身近にくりかえしている。

The eye of a photographer who makes interpretation
Expression for wonder

On one occasion, human beings began to give interpretations, or images. Since then, many times during our whole lives, we have listened to and have talked about interpretations for ''wonder'' with ''a kind of language called expression''.

The eye of this photograph watches ''a snow leopard''. Either it watches the shadows of humans or the eye itself is ''the shadow of the leopard''. In any case, the eye gives an interpretation of the figure of the leopard to us.

In other words, the eye of the photograph interprets that we have thought of ''wonder'' as we gaze afar; besides, ''the leopard'' looks up into ''wonder''.

I wonder that since which point of time, ''leopards'' have become ''the shadows of humans'' and ''humans'' have become the shadows of leopards''.

At least, we understand that we are from the world they belong to. We have our instinctual ability still inside of our body in living as they do. The figure of the leopard can reminds us about it. And what's more, we have most likely found the true nature of poems somewhere.

The photograph seems to be trying to make us think of the duration of time which human beings have gone through since ancient. It goes on as it keeps snowing without end.

Then, day after day, we find expression for ''wonder'' around us over and over.
